Amnesty for Revolutionaries

Well ya’ll we have a revolution going on right now and most of America is blind to it, illegal immigrates are leading this revolution and our elected officials are supplying them with the means to carry on by granting them amnesty.

Wikipedia defines Revolution as:

A revolution (from Late Latin revolutio which means “a turn around”) is a significant change that usually occurs in a relatively short period of time. Variously defined revolutions have been happening throughout human history. They vary in terms of numbers of their participants (revolutionaries), means employed by them, duration, motivating ideology and many other aspects. They may result in a socio-political change in the socio-political institutions, or a major change in a culture or economy.

As the “Senate Puts Off Debate on Compromise Immigration Reform Bill” article from Fox News, I sit here in awe trying to figure out how our country became the battle ground for this revolution.

Now of course the definition that a revolution usually occurs in a short period of time does not apply here, as most of us know this issue has been around for years. The really sad part is that our government knew all about it and decided it would cost too much to do anything about the revolutionaries that were and still are attacking our country so they voted to give them amnesty instead.

In 2006 testimony given before the Senate, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff basically killed the idea of deportation saying that it would be “hugely, hugely difficult to do” and cost “billions and billions and billions of dollars.”
This was based on a study done by “The Center for American Progress” , known as a liberal think tank, released a study claiming that deportation is too expensive to be pursued as a realistic option in addressing America’s illegal immigration crisis. According to the center, it would cost more than $41 billion annually – roughly $7 billion more than the entire budget for the Department of Homeland Security – to implement an effective deportation program.

The report goes on to claim that it “helps illustrate the false allure of deportation as a response to our broken immigration system. Our nation needs comprehensive immigration reform, not unrealistic and costly ideas that drain the treasury with no benefit to our security.”

Whether or not deporting illegal aliens in this country cost as much as the report claims, the more serious issue is, in a time of global terrorism, can the U.S. government effectively monitor its borders and protect its people from this revolution.

This should not mean that we give these criminals amnesty or shouldn’t make our borders more secure. It should show our government that wasting time will only cost us more money, allow more criminals to cross over into our homeland, and give the jihadis a greater chance to infiltrate our land and attack the American people once again.

Why are these revolutionaries criminals; Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, “Improper Entry by Alien,” any citizen of any country other than the United States who:
• Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
• Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
• Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact; has committed a federal crime. Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.

By all definitions they are criminals. The correct term is illegal alien, but they are actually revolutionaries and terrorist who are slowly taking over our country.

Republicans…” Bush Has Singlehandedly Destroyed Our Party”

FOLLOWING ARE COMMENTS FROM THE FIFTY OR SO BLOGS STIK VISITS DAILY.

Remember, these are Conservative blogs with conservative readers. For the last few years most of these folks have been ardent supporters of the President and the Conservative perspective.

We tend to be principled pragmatists as are most Americans. Our leadership has zombied out and we can see it…..it’s agonizing.

This latest blow (the immigration Bill fiasco) is very real to Americans. Our leaders have lost their minds if they think they can get this past us. Their change is obvious and is beginning to meet real resistance.
We’re tough too. Most of us can admit our mistakes and move on and make wiser decisions based on our mistakes. Americans understand that and are willing to accept us because they understand we are all imperfect.
Watching these readers perspective move from loyalty to skepticism to cynicism and now to disgust has been disheartening but enlightening…and in some ways reassuring.
Rather than excusing the abandonment of principle by the people they elect, they are confronting and rejecting it.

SO……Bush has failed as a conservative leader and he’s dragging us down. His ecstatic support of this sorry excuse for a solution to our immigration problems is gut wrenching for those Americans who believe in common sense, equity and the rule of law.

The Republican disaffection has been a result what our representatives are doing…it is the abandonment of the ideals of the people they claim to represent. The best example were the slate of idiots buffoons and pretty boys we presented to the American people last November. There wasn’t a one in the bunch that inspired passion or vision. Worse than that, they were lying to us saying they were “Bona fide”…..and they weren’t….and now they’re proving it.
They’re becoming the things of our nightmares.

It’s as if an entire city of men and women who once were respected and trusted by millions of Americans has become an army of arm flailing, zombified Republicans staggering aimlessly around Washington moaning…..”BRAINS….WE NEED BRAINS.”
They sure could use some, but their base is no longer willing to cut them any slack.

They have become our enemy……..

These commenters love the Republican Party. It used to stand for the things they believed in. The immigration Amnesty Bill is Bushes last attempt to gain some kind of legacy. If it passes with the help of leaders who have abandoned the majority of Americans, he will have his legacy.
It won’t be pretty.

The Immigration bill is one of the single worst pieces of legislation I have ever read. It’s so poorly written and so full of loopholes and inconsistencies it almost appears to be intentionally crafted to fail. The people who wrote it and those who support it are plain and simple lying to us. A clear majority of Americans don’t support it’s main premise….Amnesty for a group of people who intentionally broke our laws and continue to do so with impunity.
And if that’s not enough………It’s so sloppily written, it wont even do the BAD things it is intended to do!

The requirement to pay the fine and “go home” is unenforceable

I’d say the progress on the mythical fence that was approved last year tells us everything we need to know about whether or not there will be a good-faith enforcement effort.

So, are we now to accept that the federal government (the same federal government that put us in this position through its gross incompetence) will become competent overnight in its ability to manage illegal immigration, and the 12 to 20 million illegals already here?

It’s clear that our senators do not represent us in anything more than the barest sense of the word at this point.

Since our lawmakers have basically flipped us the bird, we need to take matters into our own hands. Obviously, we need not vote for these traitors again.

SEC 103 (a):
Construction of Border Control Facilities- Subject to the availability of appropriations, the Secretary shall construct all-weather roads and acquire additional vehicle barriers and facilities necessary to achieve operational control of the international borders of the United States.

SEC 245B:
If an alien is ordered to be removed due to the fact that he/she did not submit to inspection on reentering the US, remained past their authorized date, failed to maintain “legal” status while in the US (whatever the hell that means), or if their leaving would cause their family “hardship,” they CONTINUE TO REMAIN ELIGIBLE for adjustment to lawful resident status.

They’re going to vote on this bill this coming week — bizarrely, before they’ve even let the American public know what it says.
If I’m being single-issue, it’s because they’re trying to sneak this past everyone before the public even knows there’s a major, major bill about to be passed (and signed into law) or what the hell it actually says.

A few other tidbits (all in summary form):

•The draft includes $400M to process criminal illegal aliens.
Wait! I thought that they were all hard-working people who just wanted to come here for a better life. You mean some of them might be criminals?!

•It also allows for “sufficient transportation and officers to take illegal aliens apprehended by State and local law enforcement officers into custody for processing at a detention facility…”
What happens then? I’m so glad you asked! Alternatives to detention still include “release on order of recognizance.” So, it’s just business-as-usual boys and girls!

•Proof of work history requires only that they have affidavits from non-relatives.
So they can line up on the south side, say “Si! I have lived in los Estados Unidos for cinco anos, so I am eligible to become a nonimmigrant! Here are my amigos who will tell you the truth!”

•Taxes – they don’t get to file for refunds prior to FY2006.
Boo freakin’ hoo.

•Siblings (under 18) and ex-spouses also have the right to jump to the front of the line.
Yes, that’s EX-spouses. Everyone knows you can’t move to a new country without bringing along all your old baggage!

Quite possibly my (sarc)favorite(\sarc) one:
SEC 922 of Title 18 will be amended to allow “nonimmigrants” (yep, that beats “illegal aliens” any day) to own firearms.
Yippee ki yi yay!! I just can’t wait for the next Cinco de Mayo!!

Sorry, I know that this is long, and I’m preaching to the choir, but I am just sick today as I watch the greatest country on earth implode. Every last one of these @ssh0les who votes for this crap, or does not work hard enough against it, needs to be voted out of office as soon as we get the chance.

This ridiculous compromise will have a tsunami effect and will send hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants clamoring across the border to get in on the amnesty. There is absolutely no way to confirm how long they have been here. Another absolute failure spearheaded by the insanity of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

I’d swear, if space aliens landed in Washington D.C. and spent some time observing what’s going on there, they could be excused for concluding that Mexico had recently defeated the United States in a war and was proceeding with colonization of its conquered territory via its puppet government here.

It’s dismaying and disgusting in equal measure to watch the self-destruction of the Republican Party that’s gone on since 2004 and shows no signs of slowing down. I have no idea what they’re thinking in the Senate, but from this angle the consequences are readily foreseeable:

Millions of illegal aliens will soon become “legal” – and eventually become “citizens” – for no other reason than a collapse of the Republican party’s political will on an issue that the majority of Americans would support them if they only had courage.

Few, very few of the new “voters” are going to be voting Republican, contrary to the apparent delusional thinking that must be going on in the minds of the Republican party’s leadership.

Anyone who thinks that this capitulation isn’t going to see a flood of untold millions more illegals in the next few years is a fool

Basically, Mexico pulled off the greatest scam of all time. They got us to take their undeveloped wilderness, waited while we civilized and developed it, and now they’re getting it back, all prettied up.

I doubt President Bush cares if 8 or 8,000,000 people leave the party. That’s just 8,000,000 fewer party members who disagree with them

France Gets It and Iran Can Do What the U.S. Can’t

One of the first things Nicolas Sarkozy, France’s new President, did was create a new Ministry called minister of immigration and national identity. You see, like the United States, France is grappling with an immigration problem as well.

“Thus, it seems reasonable to assume that, in the light of what happened in 2005 in the suburbs – more than 200 million euros in damage, and some 10 000 cars destroyed – , in part as a response to Mr. Sarcozy’s discourse considered unacceptable, this kind of provocations were caused by some people with connections to the right-wing majority- maybe to the far-right. After all, the suburbs “revolt” of 2005 happened as a reaction against their social policy, not only against what the Minister said. Assumedly, what M.Sarcozy said (depicting the youth of the suburbs as “racaille” that ought to be erased) was just the drop that made the glass overflow.”

There are parallels among France’s immigration problems and that of the United States. The similarities include lack of assimilation and cries of racism when France takes the necessary measures to protect it’s national identity and sovereignty. There is also a crime parallel as you can see from the above paragraph.

Realizing that their national identity is at risk and that an emboldened immigrant community stands to tear the country apart, the French, unlike the United States, have taken direct measures to address the issue. Thus the creation of the Ministry of immigration and national identity.

“The new ministry said today that government policy would be dictated by firmness and pragmatism.”

“We have to put aside massive legalization. It doesn’t work and it penalizes, even immigrants,” …

Policy, he said, would be guided by “firmness and humanism” with “lots of pragmatism.”

So there you have it. France, the butt of many jokes here in America and the cause for re-naming an American food staple from french fries to freedom fries, understands the need for real immigration control. They even have the political will and courage to deal with the issue head on and in terms of enforcement instead of acquiescing to the anarchy like desires of their immigrant population.

Washington would do well to take this page out of French politics and apply it here at home.

France isn’t the only country that our politicians, mainstream media and intelligentsia can learn from. Of all the countries in the world, who would think we can learn from Iran?

“TEHRAN, May 15 (IPS) – As the Iranian regime firmly implements a plan to repatriate the bulk of an estimated one million Afghan refugees living illegally on its soil, it is apparent that the move is aimed at embarrassing the West over its failures in the region.”

Does Iran, a country considered by many in the U.S. as being “third world”, throw it’s arms up and say “there is no way we can deport on million people”? On the contrary, Iran deals with it’s illegal refugee problem directly and with a sense of determination.

“More than 70 000 Afghans who were in Iran illegally have been returned in the past month, the United Nations said on Monday, as talks were under way between the neighbours over the controversial deportations.

Tehran has said it wanted one million Afghans repatriated by next March. The 70 000 who have been sent back started returning from April 21.”

For all those in America that say “we can NOT deport 12 million illegal, invading aliens”, need only look to a country considered by many as backward and primitive. If Iran can deport 1 million refugees threatening the well being of their country in the timespan of just one year, the United States certainly can deport 12 million illegal aliens.

Of course deporting 12 million illegal aliens is unnecessary. America can get illegal aliens to leave this country with measures that are not as radical. The solution, ignored by politicians and the mainstream liberal media, is attrition through enforcement. Enforce our existing immigration laws to the max, eliminate jobs and social services and the illegal aliens will leave the United States on their own accord and expense.

Our politicians need to look at these international examples and learn from them. National sovereignty and the rule of law are essential to any country’s well being. This is true even in third world countries like Iran and socially liberal countries like France. The United States is no exception.

Our politicians need to realize that dealing with illegal immigration requires intestinal fortitude. The right measure to take is a tough love approach that preserves the rule of law and national identity. The wrong thing to do is throw these things away in favor of making the lawless legal by changing our laws to meet that end.

The French and Iranian examples show just how wrong our treasonous Senators are in their zeal to pass legislation that is harmful to the United States. If our political leaders had a shred of shame, they would be embarrassed by being shown up by a third world country and France.

This is why your involvement is critical. Without you, they will fail to see the errors of their ways. Please call your Senator, Congressperson and the White House with your opposition to the proposed amnesty legislation.

Our political leaders refuse do what is right for the country. The country needs the activism of it’s citizens now more than ever. Demand the political elite to submit to the will of our people and not that of special interests and people of foreign countries. Tell the traitors in Washington “never to amnesty and enforce our immigration laws”!

Poll: Public Wants Illegals to Go Home

We keep hearing how hard liners on illegal immigration lost their elections last year and that is not true. Many of the Dems that won the elections ran on a hard line on illegal immigration. Well here are some reaal polls.

From The Eagle Forum:

Contrary to the new Senate bill, most Americans want less and not more immigration. When told the number of immigrants here and the number coming, 70 percent of voters said the level is too high, 19 percent said it is about right, and 5 percent said too low.

* 75% of Republicans said immigration is too high, 5% said too low.

* 69% of Democrats said immigration is too high, 6% said too low.

* 71% of self described moderates said immigration is too high, 4% said too low.

Public prefers that illegals go home, rather than be legalized. 58 percent of voters said they wanted illegals to go home, compared to 30 percent who favored legalization. The public still overwhelmingly supported enforcement over legalization even when many conditions are imposed on illegals like paying a fine, learning English and undergoing a background check.

Americans support enforcement to make illegals go home. When presented by itself, 79 percent of the public said they supported reducing the illegal immigrant population by increasing border enforcement, penalizing employers, and increasing cooperation with local law enforcement, while 15 percent were opposed. No other proposal had near this level of support.

And from the Center for Immigration studies last year…

WASHINGTON , D.C. (October 16, 2006) — A new poll, using neutral language, finds intense voter concern over immigration in 14 tight congressional races. The surveys were conducted by the polling company for the Center for Immigration Studies.

 

In addition to a national survey, detailed polling on immigration was conducted in four contested Senate races (click on the state/district to see the results): Missouri, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Montana; and in 10 contested House races: Arizona 5th, Connecticut 4th, Indiana 8th, Kentucky 4th, Pennsylvania 6th, Texas 17th, Louisiana 3rd, Georgia 8th, Colorado 7th, and Ohio 6th.

Among the findings:

  • Immigration is a big issue throughout country. Of likely voters nationally, 53 percent said immigration was either their most important issue or one of their top three issues, while just 8 percent said it was not at all important. With the exception of CT-4th, in races surveyed only about 10 percent of voters said it was not important at all.

  • When told numbers, voters want less immigration. When told the actual number of immigrants here (legal and illegal) and the number coming (legal and illegal), and asked to put aside the question of legal status, 68 percent of voters nationally thought immigration was too high, 21 percent about right, and just 2 percent thought it was too low. In every congressional race surveyed, the share who said overall immigration was too low was in the single digits.

  • Voters less likely to vote for immigration-increasing candidates. Experts agree that the bill recently passed by the Senate would at least double future legal immigration, yet 70 percent of voters said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate who wanted to double legal immigration. Overwhelming majorities in every battleground race feel the same way.

  • Voters reject extremes of legalization or mass deportations. Some previous polls have shown support for legalizing illegal immigrants.; But those polls have given the public only a choice between large-scale deportations or an earned legalization, and not the third choice of across-the-board enforcement, causing illegals to go home. This third option, which is the basis of the bill passed by the US House, is voters’ top choice.

  • U.S. House immigration plan by far the favorite. Enforcement approaches with no increase in legal immigration were the most popular policy option — 44 percent wanted enforcement that causes illegals to go home, the US House’s approach, and another 20 percent wanted large-scale deportations. Just 31 percent supported a legalization.

  • Intensity stronger among enforcement supporters. Nationally, 32 percent of voters said they would be much more likely to vote for a candidate who would enforce the law and cause illegals to go home, compared to just 15 percent who said they would be much more likely to vote for a candidate who supports legalization. This same pattern holds in battleground contests.

  • Voters skeptical of need for unskilled immigrant labor. More than 70 percent of voters nationally agreed that there were, “plenty of Americans to do low-wage jobs that require relatively little education, employers just need to pay higher wages and treat workers better to attract Americans,” compared to 21 percent who said we need immigrants because there were not enough Americans to do all such jobs. The results were very similar in all the contested states and districts surveyed.

  • Voters think lack of enforcement is reason for illegal immigration. Three out of four voters in the nation agreed that the reason we have illegal immigration is that past enforcement efforts have before “grossly inadequate.” Voters strongly reject the argument that illegal immigration is caused by overly restrictive legal immigration policies. Strong majorities in every battleground contest surveyed felt this way.

  • Numbers make a difference. One key finding is that when told the scale of immigration (legal and illegal), voters overwhelming thought it was too high. Also when told how much the Senate bill would increase legal immigration voters tended to reject it. The level of immigration used in the questions are those widely agreed upon by experts based on government data.

While the Congress is trying to find ways of letting illegal aliens stay in this country, we the people want them gone. You need to tell your elected cockroaches how you feel because they don’t get it.
