Our Stable Neighbor to the South

Well, Calderon takes office today……

This is the country Bush wants to open our borders to……..It has been a political cluster for 100 years…..

Calderon, a Harvard graduate and former energy minister in Fox’s government, faces other serious challenges in trying to assert control over an increasingly violent country.

A vicious war between rival drug-smuggling gangs has killed nearly 3,000 people in the last two years, and the popular tourist city of Oaxaca has been wrecked by six months of violent street protests against a state governor.

In Calderon’s home state of Michoacan, more than 500 people have been killed this year in a brutal drugs turf war. Severed heads are regularly dumped in the streets and in one case five were tossed onto the dance floor of a seedy nightclub.

Yep……These are the folks Pro open border advocates are saying we need to have closer ties with…….

These are the folks who say building a fence to secure our border will “damage” our relationship with them…….

These are the folks who want to build a super Highway straight through the middle of our country so they can have easier acess to American markets……….

These are the folks who feel they can threaten and intimidate us by going to the UN to stop us from sealing our border…….

These are the folks who are lobbying congress to relax visa requirements so more of their “citizens” can work in America…….

This bastion of Democracy is the place the President and Congress want to recruit millions of “guest workers” from and allow them virtually free access throughout our country with no means to know who they are or what they are doing…….

We need to stand back and see what Calderon can do. America is not the answer to Mexico’s Problems.

Mexico won full democracy in 2000, when Fox swept to power in an election that ended seven decades of one-party rule.

The optimism that Fox inspired when he took power six years ago has long since faded. He failed to meet promises of fast growth, millions of jobs and a deal with Washington to help Mexicans living and working illegally in the United States.

I find it fascinating that all of these pro-illegal organizations (El Puente, Puerto Rican Defense Fund, Mexican Defense Fund) give vague and unsound justification for any activity that attempts to reduce illegal immigration.

I believe that Mexico is funding all of these organizations. Why wouldn’t they? Illegal immigration is their LARGEST industry, now greater than their oil export industry.

Mexico will do whatever they can to protect this cash cow. Not only is it their largest source of income, they also get rid of their poorest citizens.

It would be totally reasonable that the Mexican government funds these pro-illegal alien organizations based in the U.S. to keep the illegal flood gates open as long as possible!

What’s so ironic is that these organizations SUE to stop anti-illegal immigration laws and activities. They use OUR laws so they can continue to break OUR laws.

We are being taken for a ride.
