Here you go, Hall County – you don’t think we have a Hispanic gang problem?

Think again.

Teen charged in stabbing

A 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday in connection with a gang-related stabbing Thanksgiving night.

The male juvenile, whose name was not released due to his age, was charged with aggravated assault and violation of Georgia’s street gang terrorism act, Hall County Sheriff’s Maj. Jeff Strickland said.

The teen is one of two suspects charged in the nonfatal stabbing at the Rabbittown BP on Old Cornelia Highway.

Strickland said the victim, a member of the B.O.E., or “Busting On Everybody” gang, was at the store Nov. 26 when members of the rival Sur-13 gang pulled up and a confrontation ensued.

Two men tried to pull the 19-year-old victim from his car and he was stabbed once in the shoulder before they fled.

Ricardo Rodriguez, 22, was arrested shortly afterward and charged with aggravated assault and violation of the street gang terrorism act.

Both suspects remain jailed. The teen is at the Hall County Regional Youth Detention Center.

Body found in Mexico with agents’ cards

Business cards of two U.S. law enforcement officials were found taped to the head of a man whose bloody body was dumped in a Mexican park last month, federal officials said Thursday.

He was found with a finger stuffed in his mouth – a traditional punishment drug traffickers inflict on informers.

But we don’t need to secure our borders, right? Wait ’till this starts happening in YOUR neighborhood.

Court pleads for help with illegals

LAWRENCEVILLE – Estimating up to 20 to 25 percent of their cases involve illegal immigrants, Gwinnett judges made a plea to state legislators to address the problem the only way they can – by adding another judge to the bench…

…Not only has Gwinnett’s astronomical population growth caused a larger burden on Gwinnett’s judicial system, but the large number of non-English speakers means cases take longer, Superior Court Judge Melodie Snell Conner said in a presentation to lawmakers Thursday…

…”We just have to demand our federal government protect our borders,” Rep. Clay Cox, R-Lilburn, said. “Until we have the muster to do that, we will continue to pay the costs of the judicial system.”

“I think it’s right to protect children at Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals,” said board member Chester Sosebee, who supported the measure.
