Lest anyone believe that the new Mexican government of Felipe de Jesús Calderón Hinojosa is actually stemming the tide of drug violence plaguing our Texas-Mexican border, think again! Its time to take U.S. border security seriously, and realize that the drug wars between the Sinaloa and Gulf Cartels are a threat to our national security. Matamoros Mexico lies directly across the border from Brownsville Texas…similarly, Nuevo Laredo Mexico and Laredo Texas are simply “border cousins.”
