Discarded pot found

In recent weeks, thousands of marijuana plants worth millions of dollars have been uncovered in more than 70 houses, authorities said. Now, pot is being found alongside roads in northeast Georgia, discarded, perhaps, by owners feeling the heat from the recent raids.

A 71-year-old woman was hospitalized after being attacked in her Winder home Friday, according to a Winder police press release.
