Illegal Immigration has the American People Cornered

Washington more concerned for illegal aliens than the future of America's youthOrdinary Americans are finding ourselves backed into a corner. We realize that we can no longer accept the lifestyle degradation caused by illegal immigration. For the longest time ordinary Americans were deceived by the mainstream media and politicians who led us to believe we didn’t have an immigration problem. Their collective mantra being unregulated immigration is good for the country. Finally Americans are taking stock of the ravaging effects of unchecked illegal immigration and liberal immigration policy.

Now that we have evaluated the issue and are trying to correct it, we are being met with the fiercest of resistance. It’s mind boggling that we encounter such resistance for just wanting the laws of our land enforced. It leads one to believe that there is much fundamentally wrong with America today.

The American People have made what we want clear and in no uncertain terms.

  • We want the borders sealed. We want 2000 miles of fence but fully expect the 850 miles enacted by legislation. We want all of it, not just 375 miles of it. And start thinking now about how to come up with the remaining eleven hundred and fifty miles. When Congress starts accepting virtual paychecks and taxpayers allowed to pay virtual taxes, then we will accept a virtual fence.
  • We will not accept amnesty in anyway, shape or form. Every piece of “reform” legislation to date has amnesty built into it. This is not acceptable. All proposed legislation up to this point, liberalizes immigration. This too is unacceptable. We fully expect legislation that makes immigration tougher and more beneficial to the country and it’s middle class.
  • We expect our political leaders to uphold the rule of law. We expect them to enforce the law to it’s fullest extent against the 30 million illegal aliens already here in the country. To do anything less is a perversion of the rule of law and the beginning of the end for our nation. It’s also an acceleration of the end of America’s Middle Class.
  • The American People have made it clear that we expect our political leaders to enforce laws against the criminal hiring of illegal aliens. Any rational immigration control policy requires work place enforcement. Illegal employers are to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They are one of the biggest causes of our problems today and its time they are treated as such.

There’s much more that can be said for what the American people have demanded clearly and through proper channels. It’s estimated that two thirds of the American people want these things yet our political leaders refuse our will.

We have tried every avenue afforded to us to end the middle class oppression known as illegal immigration. Our political leaders ignore our efforts in all the different routes we have taken correct the problem. Consequently, there isn’t much more for the American people to do except to accept the destruction of our country and way of life or literally fight for what is quickly disappearing and rightfully ours.

Elections Don’t Work

The American people have voted for change in the last election. The faces changed but the anti middle class policy remains. It’s apparent that elections don’t work and haven’t for sometime. My freshman Congressman, Chris Murphy is a prime example of elections not working. Our district felt Nancy Johnson was a Bush lemming and soft on immigration so Murphy won the election.

Here are some of my omniscient freshman Congressman’s recent words on illegal immigration and the STRIVE legislation.

Like Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Chris Murphy said the STRIVE Act provides an excellent framework for moving forward. “It calls for tougher enforcement…[but] recognizes that we have a duty to deal responsibly with the 10 million undocumented workers in this country, and that it is simply unrealistic to talk about deporting people that are vital to this economy and to the United States,” Murphy explained.

It is not just about economics however, Murphy said: “It simply isn’t humane” to deport millions of undocumented workers. Similarly, the FIRM press release that followed the March 23 conference call brings home the humanity of the issue and its timeliness. “We can never forget that the immigration reform debate is about real people. Every day our immigration system remains broken is another day when good people fall victim to exploitation on the job and children wait hopelessly to be reunited with their parents.”

“We are at a crossroads as a nation in deciding what kind of country we want to be and how we value family unity, community, and human rights. The time is now to get it done.”

Chris you represent Connecticut, not San Francisco and what about showing a little human compassion toward those of us that put you in office. You know the people that pay for and experience the documented, ill effects of illegal immigration, on a daily basis. We put you in office, not the illegal aliens you so passionately advocate for. Enough said, clearly elections don’t work.

Legislation Doesn’t Work

Communities around the country are trying to enact local laws to make illegal immigration a crime that doesn’t pay. These laws are met with costly lawsuits deterring additional communities from filling the void left by a lack of immigration law enforcement. So far, legislation isn’t working. We no longer have sovereign rights to our states or communities.

The Courts Don’t Work

Time after time we have witnessed agenda pushing justices thwart any attempts at enforcing immigration law. As far as community litigation goes, the trend has been against those that insist upon immigration law enforcement.

Prosecution of illegal aliens is just about non existent. Ninety eight percent of apprehended, illegal border crossers are not prosecuted for the crime of violating our border. They are allowed to smuggle marijuana so long as it is less than 500 pounds. They are allowed at least six prior offenses before being confronted with prosecution. Illegal aliens often aren’t prosecuted for being in the country illegally when being prosecuted for various other crimes and misdemeanors. This allows them to repeat offend with impunity until finally they do something so terrible that the system has to do something with them.

Gone is the Rule of Law

The very basis of this country is the rule of law. One set of laws for all of the people with no one being above the law. We are now a country with multiple sets of laws. We have a harsh and strict set of laws for America’s middle class.

Then there is the set of laws for illegal aliens. They have a more liberal set of laws. Studies and mere observation of current events show they are allowed multiple offenses without any consequences what so ever.

Then there are laws for businesses or “laws of the elite”. These are among the most lenient. They get to break the written law of the land millions of times each day without any consequences or even fear of consequence. This set of laws creates the employment for around 20 or 30 million illegal aliens. This set of laws also allows the elite business class to create ungodly profits on the back of illegal labor, which is at an ultimate cost charged to America’s middle class.

Of course we have laws for politicians too. Laws that put them above all laws. For instance, if you are a politician, you can get caught with an unexplainable ninety five grand in cash hidden in your freezer and get a promotion at work. These too are among the laws of the elite. These are the best of all laws as this elite class gets to change them arbitrarily at anytime and always to their benefit.

Petitions, Letters, Protests, Political Activism, Doesn’t Appear to be Working

My patriot brothers and sisters from coast to coast are flooding the House of Representatives and Senate with mail, faxes, phone calls and emails. These patriots are undertaking actions everyday, they are tireless and I find them inspiring. Many of these distressed Americans will be attending the “Hold Their Feet to the Fire” Rally in Washington DC. The rally will take place April 22 through April 25th.

Despite these noble and tireless efforts, our President and Congress do and say things as if their constituencies never existed. They totally have and continue to ignore the pleas of America’s families, children and workers. It appears that communicating with our political leaders is no longer a means of affecting change.

Unfortunately Americans Are Forced to Make Tough Decisions

Do we continue to accept the response of “no response” from our political leaders? We can’t because with each passing day, our already dismal plight grows worse.

We already know we cannot allow further liberalization of immigration as that would accelerate our own demise as a country and as America’s working class.

Have we overlooked any other courses of action afforded to us by the Constitution? I can only think of one action and the ball is already rolling on that as well.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The bold text is also referred to as a petition of redress. It’s important to note that there are currently petitions of redress being circulated and that some have already been submitted to our government and have been totally ignored.

…that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Haven’t we reached the point of “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these ends”? Are our political leaders deriving their power from the “consent of the governed”? How can it be so when they refuse the will of those they govern?

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Even though we don’t have to, being afforded these rights by our own Declaration of Independence, are we choosing to be “disposed to suffer” in exchange for “the forms we are accustomed”?

Is it not our right and our duty to make our government respond to the demands of those that put them in power? By not doing so are we providing for our rightful “future security”?

The American people have used all avenues afforded to them by the Constitution and yet our will is completely ignored and actions totally to the contrary are taken daily. This total lack of acknowledgment of our political wants and desires has deeply wounded the American people. Exhausting the political means to fix this country’s massive illegal immigration problem has the American people cornered.

The American people are wounded and cornered. It would be wise for our political leaders to heed the advise about not cornering a wounded animal. Failing to do so is certain to lead to unmentionable results.
