Greatest threat to America from inside our borders

The Muslim American Association is requiring members to give up to 30% of their income to the MAS for transmission to terror groups in the Middle East, specifically Pakistan, according to Fox News Channel. A member of MAS was interviewed, maintaining his anonymity by hiding his face, on Fox. He said he was instructed to pay increasing amounts of his take-home pay to the MAS, and was required to show them his check stub. Fox’s Catherine Herridge said the money was delivered to Pakistan in amounts small enough not to trigger investigations. (I’m looking for other sources to this information.)Experts are concerned that the greatest threat to the United States is not from foreign fighters, but from Muslims inside the United States. Groups like CAIR and MAS should be closely watched, especially from the money standpoint.

The Yemen Observer says:

The first-ever, nationwide, random sample survey of Muslim Americans finds them to be largely assimilated, happy with their lives, and moderate with respect to many of the issues that have divided Muslims and Westerners around the world.

That may be partially true, but it does not apply to those Muslims who are members of the Muslim American Society (MAS), who have connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, Jammat al-Fuqra, Pakistan, and terrorism in general.

Jamaat-ul-Fuqra: Jamaat ul-Fuqra (JF) or “community of the impoverished”, a terrorist outfit operating in Pakistan and North America, was formed by a Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, in New York in 1980, on his first visit to the US. Mubarak Gilani’s intention in forming the outfit was to ‘purify’ Islam through violence.”

As we make concessions for immigrants, both legal and illegal, in this country, we need to be very careful what the long-term results will be. Muslims are presenting particular challenges to Americans. As we give in to these challenges, one-by-one, it causes many of us to be very concerned.

Quantico
Greg Bear, author of Quantico was interviewed on The Daily Show, you can watch the video here While Bear is known as a Science-Fiction writer, he “… recently advised the Department of Homeland Security at the Homeland Security Science and Technology Stakeholders Conference.” Bowing To The Future

He stresses that we need new means of protecting our nation from the threat that is already residing here. High schools, colleges where young men (and women) have access to viruses, chemicals, biologicals as a part of their studies, needs to have safe guards to prevent any of these students from using what they learn against the U.S. This is just one example of the government’s challenges. There is no one answer to protecting America, there are many opportunities for would-be terrorists and many challenges for our government.

Victor Davis Hanson hits the nail on the head this morning as he usually does in covering our continuous bleating, blaming and expectations that there is one option that we haven’t tried that would resolve all the problems; although no one ever offers it, only knocks what we’re doing. The difficulty here is that there is no “one” option is the answer. (more at DeMediacratic Nation)

Quantico is quite good.” says Brenda Cooper

“Quantico is an engaging thought-experiment on how terrorism might be fought in the near future.” says Technovelgy.com.

This brings me to the immigration bill and illegal aliens. It would appear that many in Congress and even the President are not concerned about the legacy they leave this nation.

“Normally a president would aim to leave office on a note of goodwill. George W Bush doesn’t seem to care,” writes Ayman El-Amir* (Al-Ahram) That statement is referring to President George W. Bush and the global war on Islamic terrorists, but it could also apply to the domestic agenda. We’ve been through this before, but NEVER on a scale this large.

Ghost of ’86 failure haunts bid for immigration reform.

Hovering over the Senate immigration debate like a malignant ghost is the near total failure of the last attempt to bring immigration under control — a train wreck of a plan passed in 1986. Then as now, the heart of the plan was a legalization-for-enforcement trade-off. (USA Today)

Big Dog’s Weblog:

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas will vote against resurrecting the immigration amnesty bill along with fellow Texan, John Cornyn. Perhaps the folks living in an area affected greatly by all the ILLEGALS sneaking in actually understand the problem.

Keep up the good fight folks. Our country and our future depends on it. Here’s your Action Alert for today:
