North American Air Traffic Control

Is a North American air traffic control system good or bad for United States safety?

The U.S. has built nine navigation systems for Mexico and Canada under the controversial Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America in an apparent first step toward establishing the satellite infrastructure needed to create a North American air traffic control system. The defining vision for North American air traffic control was articulated by then-Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta in a Sept. 27, 2004, statement announcing, “We must make flying throughout North America as seamless as possible if we are to truly reap the rewards of the expanding global economy.”

Waas

The “2006 Report to Leaders” posted on the SPP website proclaimed, “In order to increase navigational accuracy across the region, five Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) stations were installed in Canada and Mexico in 2005.”

WAAS is a space-based augmentation system that provides precision navigation information to aircraft equipped with Global Positioning Satellite/WAAS receivers through all phases of flight. (WND)

I’m against a North American Union, similar to the European Union, but I’m not sure that this North American air traffic control is a bad thing. Perhaps it’s even a good thing, for America’s safety. What do you think?

Chipping at the Edges of America’s Amnesty Rejection

So……
Americans soundly rejected the Senate and Administration’s idiotic failure of an attempt to construct and pass an Immigration reform Bill a couple of months ago. In doing so they had to threaten their representatives both Democrat and Republican with everything but the kitchen sink and drag them kicking and screaming to vote no on a “COMPREHENSIVE” PLAN of Amnesty and open borders…..
But our elected traitors are stubborn and scheming.

The worst parts of the immigration bill are now beginning to pop up as amendments and attachments to other legislation.
The Dream Act is attached by Sen Durbin to the Defense Appropriation Bill and will probably sail through next month.
Arlen Spector (R-PA) has announced that he is ready to unveil a new immigration bill designed to replace the now-doomed Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act.
He intends to appease amnesty-opposing lawmakers by not placing illegal immigrants on a path toward citizenship, but rather to eliminate their status as fugitives from justice……HMMMMM…..

1) Have your Comprehensive “non Amnesty” bill that grants Amnesty defeated…
2) Lay low…
3) Introduce new less comprehensive non Amnesty Bill that grants Amnesty…
4) Profit!

How many different ways can you grant AMNESTY TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE CRASHED OUR BORDERS AND BROKEN OUR LAW WITHOUT CALLING IT AMNESTY?

Creative minds in the Senate seem to have no limits in their willingness to consider Americans stupid.

Giuliani’s Past on Illegal Immigration

9 08 2007

Cross posted from   The Virtuous Republic

ABC News has dug up some damaging quotes and facts from Rudy Giuliani on illegal immigration.

According to the article, New York City became a sanctuary city in 1989 by an executive order issued by Ed Koch in 1989.  Guiliani seems to have reissued that order and in 1994 had this to say:

“Some of the hardest-working and most productive people in this city are undocumented aliens,” Giuliani said at the time. “If you come here and you work hard and you happen to be in an undocumented status, you’re one of the people who we want in this city. You’re somebody that we want to protect, and we want you to get out from under what is often a life of being like a fugitive, which is really unfair.”

At a speech in Minneapolis in 1996, Giuliani defended Koch’s executive order, that, in his words “protects undocumented immigrants in New York City from being reported to the INS while they are using city services that are critical for their health and safety, and for the health and safety of the entire city.”

“There are times when undocumented immigrants must have a substantial degree of protection,” Giuliani said.

Right now, The Virtuous Republic isn’t interested in backing one Republican over another, but it never hurts to have the facts in hand.  People change, sometimes.  And sometimes they just say what you want to hear and sometimes they only do things to get votes, even though their heart isn’t in it. Over the next year, each of us will have to decide where our candidate of choice falls on this scale.

Iraqi Refugee bill extends way beyond Iraqis

You just can’t fault those Dhimmi loving Dhimmicrats.  Center for Vigilant Freedom does a breakdown on HR 2265 (S. 1651) which is the supposed refugee bill for Iraqis.  Did you say you thought terrorist who supported and committed terrorists acts SHOULDN’T be included – well, that would be just wrong according to the Dhimmicrats sponsoring this bill (Blumenauer – OR, Shays – CT).

This bill is a humdinger with all sorts of non-Iraqi elements to it.  And if you think there’s a ceiling to the number then you would be incorrect.  Yes, there’s only a floor on the number???  Only a Dhimmicrat could use that logic.

Here’s just one newsworthy piece:

And this is just for Iraqis, this amendment to the Immigration and Nationality Act that allows them unreviewable discretion to let in groups formerly known as terrorists? No, our reading of Section 7 of this Bill is that it uses the Iraqi refugee issue to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to allow this discretion for all aliens, not just Iraqis. We think the Bill’s optimistic drafters are thinking ahead to a future Democratic administration where the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security, and the Attorney General, will have a politically correct and multicultural view of who constitutes a terrorist, regardless of country of origin.

There’s a whole lot more! I just love it when the Dhimmicrats show us just how they would protect the country. I would make sure your Representatives and Senators understand the details of this bill before they somehow go blindly voting for it!  I know I will!
