Pledging Your Moral Stand for Immigrants Rights

Summary:

In the coming weeks and months your church may ask you to sign a pledge that you will take “a public, moral stand for immigrant’s rights.” If you oppose illegal immigration, are you ready for this faith challenge? Isn’t it possible to stand for human rights for immigrants while at the same time insisting that illegal immigration must end? Not so if your church has gone over to the left!

While the left is pulling out all the stops and mounting its biggest push to get congress to pass the Dream Act, we conservatives are overlooking a vital resource – American Christian church goers. Leftist infiltration of all Christian denominations, to some extent, is pervasive. Soon many Christians of all denominations will be asked to sign a Sanctuary pledge for immigrant rights. And on October 8th Christians of all denominations will be asked by the National Council of Churches to pray and fast to endan unnecessary, morally abhorrent, and disastrous” war in Iraq!

No matter what your religion or even if you don’t have a religion, it is vital to get the word out to those practicing Christians who have been increasingly subjected to leftist indoctrination.

Al-Qaeda + Mexico = U.S. Demise

Aztlan Website Celebrates Al Qaeda And Recent Oil Bombings In Mexico, from Digger’s Realm:

Stating that “Al Qaeda’s goal to collapse the US economy seems on track” on the front page of Aztlan.net, Ernesto Cienfuegos of La Voz de Aztlan brings us “Mexican insurgents cause record $80 per barrel crude oil price”. In the article (which I will not link), Cienfuegos states that:

In addition, the Strategic Forecasting, Inc. (Stratfor), through the US State Department, is now offering its services to President Felipe Calderon. Stratfor is supposedly a private intelligence agency founded in 1996 in Austin, Texas but insiders know the outfit as “The Shadow CIA”. Stratfor analysts say that the EPR has “evolved greatly”. They believe that the recent sophisticated operations by the EPR can not be the work of simple “campesinos”. Stratfor says that they believe the recent bombings were led by very experienced bomb makers. They note that the recent operations against PEMEX have evolved greatly from what is usual for the group. The range of the attacks are much more widespread and are coming much more frequent. They are also worried about the much more sophisticated and much more powerful Improvised Explosives Devices (IED’s) the EPR has been using.

This basically tells us that the EPR, or Popular Revolutionary Army, are working with a more advanced terrorist group. This group is not only teaching them exactly how to carry out attacks, but also how to make those attacks more successful and devastating. (more)

Proam_co_decal_md Pro-America Companies is … an Internet-based outfit still waiting to be approved by the state as a nonprofit organization. It acts as a clearinghouse for people across the nation to find companies that have pledged to hire only legal workers.Since setting up his Web site three months ago, David Marlett said more than 400 companies in 43 states have signed up for the free listing. As an added incentive, he offers to act as a middleman between participants and the government in a program that checks potential hires’ immigration status.

Known for a decade as the Basic Pilot Program and now called “E-Verify,” the program allows employers to confirm workers’ Social Security numbers with those listed by the government. The free service has existed for a decade and so far 22,000 have signed up. Marlett already has an agreement with the Homeland Security Department to act as a go-between to run checks for companies, he said. While other such “designated agents” — around 200 nationwide, typically outsourced human resources services — charge for such help, Marlett currently does it for free. He said he eventually plans to charge for the service.

This is what American workers pay union dues for. The union that represents American workers suing I.C.E. for violating the rights of the illegal aliens that are displacing them. How does this protect the workers that pay the dues? How does a union have any credibility with its membership when it actively assists in the transfer of their jobs to illegals?

If I were a union member and my union was suing the department responsible for detaining and deporting the largest threat to my employment, I believe I might start to doubt the level of the union’s commitment to me. I might begin to believe that the purpose the union is serving might be something other than looking out for its members. Who knows, I might even be inclined to vote for the candidate I think would be the best president and ignore the campaign recommendation of my union.

Her sales are down by about 40 percent for the past two months.

“They don’t splurge on themselves,” Espinosa, who emigrated from Argentina six years ago, says in Spanish.

Espinosa’s shop on Powder Springs Road in Marietta is not the only one hurting. Many businesses that cater to Hispanics are seeing a slowdown in sales. The crackdown on illegal immigrants, Espinosa says, “also hurts those of us who have papers.”

And the fallout has spread far beyond car dealers, which immediately felt the impact from a law that went into effect on July 1 requiring a Georgia driver’s license or ID card to get a car tag. It’s affecting bakeries, insurance peddlers, banks, food manufacturers, supermarkets, restaurants and other businesses.

Another Example of why the U.S. Needs to Redefine Citizenship

The following story exemplifies why the U.S. needs to redefine citizenship. Citizenship should not simply be granted to anyone who is simply born on American soil.

Right now, due to the interpretation of the 14th amendment, based on this clause, All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”, means that children of illegal aliens born in the U.S. are automatically American citizens.

It is doubtful, that this post-civil war civil rights amendment, meant to aid the newly freed slaves was meant to give citizenship to every person born on American soil. Whether excluding children of illegal aliens or even foreign tourists can be accomplished by simple legislation or if it would require a constitution amendment is of course a question left to constitutional scholars.

The only thing certain is that it is simply insane to grant citizenship to children born to parents who are in the U.S. illegally.

An illegal immigrant allowed to stay in the U.S., apparently because of a routine delay in paperwork, while her four children face deportation could now be forced to go back to Mexico, a government lawyer told an immigration court Wednesday.

 

The case against 32-year-old Rocio Godinez’s children was postponed at a status hearing so immigration officials can decided whether to include her in the proceedings.

 

Immigration and Customs Enforcement will decide whether to order Godinez to immigration court, said agency lawyer Carmen Leal. The proceedings against her children, ages 10 to 18, have been going on for the past two years.

 

“They’re going after Rocio now,” said family attorney Jonathan Ryan. He said he believes the government decided to move on Godinez after media reports on the case.

 

“We knew this was a chance we were taking with going public,” Ryan said.

 

ICE said it would have no comment Wednesday.

 

The family’s next hearing will take place in early December, when they will again make the more than three-hour trip from their home in San Angelo to San Antonio.

 

Godinez and her four children came to the U.S. in the late 1990s on tourist visas, which later expired.

 

In 2001, Godinez’s father, a legal U.S. resident, filed a petition for them to stay in the country. But the paperwork is years away from being processed because excessive demand for a limited number of visas has created a federal backlog.

 

In May 2005, Godinez was pulled over for speeding and was referred to Border Patrol. Deportation proceedings for her children began after that.

 

Godinez, who also has a 7-year-old American-born child, said the situation puts her in a difficult situation because her family may be torn between two countries. Read more here.

More Proof that Open Borders Invites Criminals into Our Midst

If you ever need an argument against open borders and illegal immigration, simply start pointing out all of the criminals who enter our national illegally.

ICE recently issued a press release in which they noted that they had deported 839 illegal aliens. Of those 839 illegal aliens, 170 were criminals. Nice ratio, wouldn’t you say?

MIAMI– A 35-year-old national of El Salvador wanted by Interpol for homicide was among the 839 illegal aliens deported in August from Florida by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation officers.

 

Armando Quijada was escorted back to El Salvador on Aug. 14 and turned over to Salvadoran authorities without incident.

 

Also wanted by Interpol and deported were Orlando Galdamez-Salguero and Ryszard Kowalski. Galdamez-Salguero, 44, was escorted to his native country of Mexico and turned over to Mexican authorities. He too was wanted for homicide. Kowalski, 40, of Poland was wanted by his government for dealing in stolen property.

 

All of those deported were ordered removed by a federal immigration judge after being found ineligible for any form of immigration relief.

 

“Those who think that they can commit crimes in their home countries and hide in the United States are mistaken,” said Michael Rozos, field office director for the Office of Detention and Removal in Florida. “The law enforcement community is united globally to ensure that those who have broken the law are brought to justice.”
