The GOP Faces of Treason

24 06 2013

Cross posted from The Mortgage Guy Blog:

Don’t ever forget the GOP traitors who voted to move the treasonous amnesty legislation along.

GOP Faces of Treason

The Republicans who voted “yes” were Sens. John McCain (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Marco Rubio (Fla.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.) — the four authors of the legislation — and Sens. Bob Corker (Tenn.), Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Jeff Chiesa (N.J.), Susan Collins (Maine), Orrin Hatch (Utah), Dean Heller (Nev.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), John Hoeven (N.D.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Roger Wicker (Miss.).

Our work will be done not when we defeat amnesty but when we end the political careers of the GOP traitors.

Amnesty Wrong in 2007 More So in 2013

14 02 2013

Cross Posted From The Mortgage Guy:
Amnesty TraitorsAll of the reasons that led to the defeat of the 2007 Bush amnesty remain valid today.  When it comes to the economic reasons why it was defeated, those reasons are even more valid today.  In 2007, there were 7.4 million Americans unemployed.  Today there are 12.3 million Americans unemployed.  It’s important to realize that the 12.3 million number is understating the problem because of the millions that have dropped out of the labor work force.  A more realistic estimate of under employed and  unemployed Americans stands at about 23 million. It is estimated that 8 million jobs are now occupied by illegal aliens.

What possible justification is there for elected officials, who are supposed to be governing on behalf of their citizens, to support any initiative that would be cause for this trend to continue and grow?  How is it in the best interests of the constituencies of the supporters of amnesty to allow 8 million jobs to remain occupied by people who broke our laws, violated our sovereignty and don’t belong here in the first place?

Not only is the employment situation much bleaker this time around, government spending is out control and threatens to bring down the entire economy.  How would adding 12 million people to the Obamacare roles improve that situation?  It won’t.  It will worsen it by billions.  State and local budgets are equally strained.  Providing social benefits for illegal aliens keeps them that way.  We couldn’t afford amnesty in 2007 and we certainly can’t afford it now.

Then there are the brainwashed open borders liberals, and some republicans, who spew the “but illegal aliens do pay taxes”.  I’ve already seen this popping up on comment boards and forums.  But just like in 2007 when they tried to spread this hollow propaganda, it is false this time around too.  Yes they do pay taxes.  But what they pay pales in comparison to what they cost.

illegalalientaxespaid

In fact a 2007 CBO study states…

The tax revenues that unauthorized immigrants generate for state and local governments do not offset the total cost of services provided to those immigrants. Most of the estimates found that even though unauthorized immigrants pay taxes and other fees to state and local jurisdictions, the resulting revenues offset only a portion of the costs incurred by those jurisdictions for providing services related to education, health care, and law enforcement…”[The Impact of Unauthorized Immigrants on the Budgets of State and Local GovernmentsDecember 2007]

Studies cited in the CBO report show revenues paid by illegals fall 20% to 60% short of the costs they impose on state and local governments.

This only addresses state and local costs.  There are federal costs as well.  A 2010 study done by the Federation of American Immigration Reform puts the total net costs of illegal immigration at $112 billion.  That breaks down to $29 billion on the Federal level and $84 billion on the local and state level.  The average American household share for paying for illegal aliens is $1,114.  Keep in mind this is before factoring in ACA (Obamacare) costs which will skyrocket under amnesty.  The bottom line is despite the fact illegal aliens are forced to pay some taxes, there is an exorbitant net cost.  Why should the American taxpayer be forced to pay these costs to keep people here that are taking their jobs, social services, education and medical care?  It’s like being forced to pay for the bullet used to kill you by firing squad.  Don’t believe the lib talking points regurgitators that believe if one says something enough, it becomes true.

It’s not just about costs or the economics of illegal immigration.  It’s about the rule of law. One set of laws for everyone with no one above the law.  Amnesty provides a separate set of laws for illegal aliens and puts them above the laws that the rest of us must follow.  The rule of law is a pillar upon which this country was founded.  Amnesty directly erodes this pillar.  Especially at a time when the current administration has trashed the rule of law time and time again with bailouts, executive orders, gun running, gun confiscation and on and on.  It is clear that the political elite no longer have the consent of the governed and if you don’t know what that ultimately leads to, I suggest you do some research.

When it comes to getting the truth on illegal immigration issues, just like most issues of the day, you cannot rely on mainstream sources.  The mainstream media no longer resides in the role of disseminating truthful information.  They have taken on the role of leftist propagandists and will unashamedly push anything liberal with lies, obfuscation and half truths. This is how the most failed president in the history of the nation was re-elected.  The illegal immigration issue is no different in this regard than say the bailouts, the economy, Obamacare and Benghazi.  So be very aware of where your information comes from and what agendas are being served.

schumermccainrubioSo why is amnesty being pushed by our political elite?  For the democrats, they want the votes.  They will get them too as they very adept at buying votes with taxpayer paid goodies.  The vast majority of the illegal alien population is needy.  They will vote with their pocket books and put anyone in office that promises them freebies.  For republicans, it’s votes too.  Somehow they’ve been convinced against logic and history that if they cave to amnesty, they will reap Hispanic votes.  History, of course, doesn’t support this.

No matter the reasons for either party supporting illegal alien amnesty one thing is clear.  It is a betrayal of the American citizen and they are the majority of these traitor’s constituencies.

It Is Now Racist to Express Patriotism

14 02 2013

Cross Posted From The Mortgage Guy:

At least it is in one California School.  I’m sure careful examination of our education indoctrination system would prove it’s more than just one school in California.

Consider the following article that appeared on the National Review website.

Students Told to Stop ‘USA!’ Chant, Take Off American Flag Bandanas

Four California high-school students were reportedly suspended for chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!” and wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game. While their punishment has since been rescinded, school administrators said “the incident is far from over.”

Oxnard Union School District superintendent Gabe Soumakian told Fox News Radio that “we need to pursue this further” and “work with teachers and students and the community about the concept of cultural proficiency.” Soumakian and Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman felt that the students’ actions might have had racist undertones since the schools have large Hispanic student populations.

“We wanted to make sure [their actions weren’t] racially motivated, and I told the kids I just want to be sensitive to the feelings of everybody,” Lipman said. “If we’re doing it for patriotism, that’s fine. But if we’re doing it for something else that’s racially motivated, I’m not going to allow that.”

But the students deny any racial element to their chants. “We’ve done it always,” one student said. “It’s something we do. It’s the same group of friends. We’re all very patriotic.” The four students gained support from their peers: More than 100 students gathered by the school’s flagpole the following morning to protest in patriotic clothing.

A short video of the incident is below:

Can we stop this madness for once and for all?  Join NumbersUSA and start faxing the elitist in Washington with your opposition to amnesty.  Let’s enforce our laws to the maximum and make it as uncomfortable as possible for illegal aliens to remain in the United States of America.  That means no more jobs, free education, free healthcare and social services. The time is now before we lose our country forever.

Sorsha the Dog

st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } <![endif]–>

“Sorsha the dog”, our dog, passed away on Saturday July 2nd 2011, the day that the Declaration of Independence was written in 1776. She went to sleep peacefully in the grass looking out over the mountains of our remote property and was buried in a shady spot underneath a mighty Fir tree surrounded by many Aspens. She was fourteen years old and a beautiful fluffy Golden Retriever-Chow mix. She traveled the entire North American continent with us, when I was a Travel Nurse.

Our furry child led an incredible life. She has ridden in elevators in five star hotels, she swam on the shores of the Great Lakes; she has slept in a tent with on every mountain in the United States. Sorsha was very protective and loyal. She was gentle but quick to leap into action to protect her home and her family. She was known by many names; My personal favorite, “Misses Sorsha Fluffy Butt”, her Native American name “always in the way dog”, and her four wheeling companion name, “Sorsha the four paw drive doggie.” We loved her dearly and she is much missed. Thank you, God, for her presence in our life. May God grant everyone as special a pet that we were blessed with for fourteen wonderful years.  And always remember, God spelled backwards is: DOG.

Isolated measles outbreak has Indiana officials on alert

23 06 2011

FYI, just in case you live in Indiana, have relatives there, or are planning to visit there.

From Reuters.com

State Health Commissioner Dr. Gregory Larkin said his department had dispatched workers to seven nearby counties in northern Indiana to identify any additional cases of the highly contagious disease and to prevent its spread.

The workers have also been given additional doses of the measles vaccine. Individuals who have been exposed to an infected person can obtain the vaccine at no cost, according to a statement released by Larkin’s office.

The article does not go into why there have been these outbreaks. Can you say Illegal Aliens from across the globe and third world hell holes? Being an RN I know that this disease can be more serious for adults than children. Especially pregnant women and women of child bearing age. That is why we wiped it out. And I know there is a movement to not have children vaccinated and I know the pros and cons of that movement, but that will be for a different article. When I was growing up, our parents would just let us get all of these childhood diseases so we would build up our own immunity.

A plan to take back the Republic

13 06 2011

By Brian Bonner

For those who do not listen to my radio show, I spent 10 years trying to figure out how to get back to the Constitutional Republic given to us by those who created the Constitution, with out bloodshed and this is what I came up with:

We need to take back our local and State governments with true Constitutional Conservatives. I am talking from the school boards, town councils to the Governor of the State. We the people have to get off our backsides and find candidates, convince them to run and help them get elected. We the people have been asleep behind the wheel for too long. Once we achieve this the State re-asserts their Constitutional Sovereignty and tells the federal government we will no longer follow your unconstitutional mandates, give you unconstitutional money, take money from you and we do not care what the courts think. We, the States, created you to serve our needs and not the other way around. There are no “implied powers” in the Constitution. The states purge their courts of those who have served in bad behavior and once enough states are taken back we hold an article 5 convention and make the Constitution CRYSTAL CLEAR, including stating the courts will use natural law as found in Emerich de Vatell’s Law of Nations and place limitations on the courts. We then purge the Federal courts of those who have served in bad behavior and replace them with people who understand the role of the courts is to look at the original intent of the legislators who created the law and apply it to the person or situation in front of them, not re-interpret the law. Now we get rid of all the unconstitutional laws and bureaucracy that were created and phase out all government entitlement programs. Anything we want to keep we have to amend the Constitution to keep them. Like we need the Air Force, but this requires an amendment. This puts the general government back into it’s Constitutional box.

Speaking of the military, no standing army, we have the militia, we the people and the organized militia, the National Guard and the Navy, with Marines, Seals and planes. I would pull ALL our military back home and close all over seas bases. Obviously the Navy would still patrol. Use the National Guard to secure our borders and build the dang fence with gun turrets, unmanned drones, and seismic sensors. The Air Force would have bases here in the USA to protect us.

Now we have our liberty back without a bloody revolution. Sending people to Washington will only slow the train wreck down, they will not and cannot dismantle the federal government from within, but the states have the power.

We. Are. Finished. With. DC.

6 06 2011

Our hopes and prayers are with this brave band of Americans. Brian and I look forward to talking to Snooper on our radio show; The Uncooperative Radio Show this week.

From snooperreport.com

Update on Mon, June 6, 2011 at 7:11 by Registered CommenterMark “Snooper” Harvey

I am about to enter into a Greasy Spoon in Someplace USA where I will strike up the conversations that I have been talking about to many, many people. Many have said that they will follow me and some said that they will ride with me. This isn’t what this trek is all about. I am Callin’ All the Clans Together and that is all.

My small group is not interested in starting a war with anyone except the marxist-moonbats that do exist. The marxist-moonbats have thrown the first punch and all we are doing is finishing the fight that they started. period.

I started this trek by using the following: Sick and tired – marching towards the Constitution of the United States. This was followed by a meeting with The Men of Laredo. This was followed by this very article that I am updating right now.

We are not here to kill anyone.

We are not here to wound anyone.

We are not here to make anyone happy, either.

We will defend ourselves against the marxist-moonbats should they come and see at least myself because I have no idea what the other 42 are doing. Three of the 42 are bloggers and they just might be writing on this now and you will have to see who they are because I’ll not tell you.

Some are saying that I am a retired undercover and armed CIA man…and I am not. I am armed with the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. I have a copy of Madison’s Notes. I have access to Vattel’s Law of Nations. This is what I am teaching. This is what I am preaching. Period.

So, onwards and upwards and I will update as I feel I must.

G’day!

PS: I ran out of the 100 copies of the USC so I will have to stop someplace and get some more copies coming and this is what I need the donations for as well as gasoline and food…I am sleeping in no hotels or motels…I have been sleeping in my truck.

‘Cheese-eating surrender monkeys’: Anger grows at ‘arrogant’ Europeans’ muted reaction to Bin Laden killing

10 05 2011

This is why The Uncooperative Radio Show is calling for all our European military bases to be closed and our troops called home. Let Europe take care of Europe. Let the USA take care of the USA. How about those borders Mr. President and et. al.?
From the dailymail.co.uk

American bloggers have hit back at Europeans who have criticised the outpouring of joy over the death of Osama Bin Laden.

While thousands of U.S citizens took to the streets to celebrate the killing, the reaction in Europe was far more muted.

And some are so angered by what they see as a judgmental stance from across The Pond, they have gone online to hit back at the ‘cheese-eating surrender monkeys’.

Many in Europe have questioned not only the manner of the killing of an unarmed man, but also the taste and dignity of the American public who chanted ‘USA’ in the streets.

Expressing these sentiments is Britain’s Archbishop of Canterbury who said: ‘I think the killing of an unarmed man is always going to leave a very uncomfortable feeling because it doesn’t look as if justice is seen to be done.’

However, he went on: ‘But I do believe that in such circumstances when we are faced with someone who was manifestly a war criminal in terms of the atrocities inflicted it is important that justice is seen to be served.’

Media Matters’ war against Fox

8 04 2011

It’s getting dicey out there folks. The Left is not getting it’s way like they expected when they elected our emperor Barack Obama. We are not becoming a socialist/communist nation fast enough for them, so they have to go after the conservative media. Although, Fox is not conservative enough for me.
From the Politico

The liberal group Media Matters has quietly transformed itself in preparation for what its founder, David Brock, described in an interview as an all-out campaign of “guerrilla warfare and sabotage” aimed at the Fox News Channel.

The group, launched as a more traditional media critic, has all but abandoned its monitoring of newspapers and other television networks and is narrowing its focus to Fox and a handful of conservative websites, which its leaders view as political organizations and the “nerve center” of the conservative movement. The shift reflects the centrality of the cable channel to the contemporary conservative movement, as well as the loathing it inspires among liberals — not least among the donors who fund Media Matters’ staff of about 90, who are arrayed in neat rows in a giant war room above Massachusetts Avenue.

Notice the ramp up in tactics and the date that this “book” is due out.

Media Matters, Brock said, is assembling opposition research files not only on Fox’s top executives but on a series of midlevel officials. It has hired an activist who has led a successful campaign to press advertisers to avoid Glenn Beck’s show. The group is assembling a legal team to help people who have clashed with Fox to file lawsuits for defamation, invasion of privacy or other causes. And it has hired two experienced reporters, Joe Strupp and Alexander Zaitchik, to dig into Fox’s operation to help assemble a book on the network, due out in 2012 from Vintage/Anchor

Pentagon Fingered as a Source of Narco-Firepower in Mexico

6 03 2011

This will be an ongoing story that we will be following. Folks, no one is talking about this, no one. Thank God for the Internet. Pay attention people, this is important.
From narcosphere.narconews,com

Another series of leaked State Department cables made public this week by WikiLeaks lend credence to investigative reports on gun trafficking and the drug war published by Narco News as far back as 2009.

The big battles in the drug war in Mexico are “not being fought with Saturday night specials, hobby rifles and hunting shotguns,” Narco News reported in March 2009, against the grain, at a time when the mainstream media was pushing a narrative that assigned the blame for the rising tide of weapons flowing into Mexico to U.S. gun stores and gun shows.

Rather, we reported at the time, “the drug trafficking organizations are now in possession of high-powered munitions in vast quantities that can’t be explained by the gun-show loophole.”

Those weapons, found in stashes seized by Mexican law enforcers and military over the past several years, include U.S.-military issued rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers and explosives.

The State Department cables released recently by WikiLeaks support Narco News’ reporting and also confirm that our government is very aware of the fact that U.S military munitions are finding their way into Mexico, and into the hands of narco-trafficking organizations, via a multi-billion dollar stream of private-sector and Pentagon arms exports.

Please, people, read the entire article. You have got to be Uncooperative readers, Listeners and Citizens, and that entails finding information and educating yourselves. Good Journey!!

President’s Day

21 02 2011

From Wikipedia

Titled Washington’s Birthday, a federal holiday honoring George Washington was originally implemented by an Act of Congress in 1880 for government offices in the District of Columbia (20 Stat. 277) and expanded in 1885 to include all federal offices (23 Stat. 516). As the first federal holiday to honor an American citizen, the holiday was celebrated on Washington’s actual birthday, February 22.[1] On January 1, 1971, the federal holiday was shifted to the third Monday in February by the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.[2] This date places it between February 15 and 21, which makes the name “Washington’s Birthday” in some sense a misnomer, since it never lands on Washington’s actual birthday, February 22.

The first attempt to create a Presidents Day occurred in 1951 when the “President’s Day National Committee” was formed by Harold Stonebridge Fischer of Compton, California, who became its National Executive Director for the next two decades. The purpose was not to honor any particular President, but to honor the office of the Presidency. It was first thought that March 4, the original inauguration day, should be deemed Presidents Day. However, the bill recognizing the March 4th date was stalled in the Senate Judiciary Committee (which had authority over national holidays). That committee felt that, because of its proximity to Lincoln’s and Washington Birthdays, three holidays so close together would be unduly burdensome. During this time, however, the Governors of a majority of the individual states issued proclamations declaring March 4 to be Presidents’ Day in their respective jurisdictions.

An early draft of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act would have renamed the holiday to “Presidents’ Day” to honor the birthdays of both Washington and Lincoln, which would explain why the chosen date falls between the two, but this proposal failed in committee and the bill as voted on and signed into law on 28 June 1968, kept the name Washington’s Birthday.

By the mid-1980s, with a push from advertisers, the term “Presidents’ Day” began its public appearance.[3] Although Lincoln’s birthday, February 12, was never a federal holiday, approximately a dozen state governments have officially renamed their Washington’s Birthday observances as “Presidents’ Day”, “Washington and Lincoln Day”, or other such designations. However, “Presidents’ Day” is not always an all-inclusive term.

The story of the Birth of George Washington; from nps.gov

In 1657, an English merchant ship sailed up the Potomac River, anchored in Mattox Creek, and took on a cargo of tobacco. With her new load, the ship ran aground on a shoal and sank. During the delay, a young officer, John Washington, great-grandfather of the future president, befriended the family of Colonel Nathaniel Pope, especially his daughter Anne. When the ship was ready to set sail John stayed behind to marry Anne, thus beginning the Washington family legacy in the New World. The bride’s father gave the newlyweds a wedding gift of 700 acres of land on Mattox Creek four miles to the east. John Washington eventually expanded his land holdings to 10,000 acres. In 1664, he moved his family to a property on Bridges Creek, within the boundaries of today’s George Washington Birthplace National Monument. His son Lawrence, born in 1659, inherited the bulk of his father’s estate. His son Augustine, born in 1694, inherited some property from his father and acquired more, including an iron furnace near Fredericksburg and a substantial plantation on Pope’s Creek. Augustine found a small house on the Popes Creek property and began expanding it into a middle-sized plantation manor house. It was here that George Washington, the first son of his second marriage, was born on February 22, 1732. This is where young George lived until 1735, when his father moved the family to his Little Hunting Creek Plantation, the land that would eventually be renamed Mount Vernon. In 1738, the family moved again, to Ferry Farm near Fredericksburg.

And now the story of Abraham Lincolns birth; from suite 101.com

Samuel Lincoln came to Hingham Massachusetts from England in 1637. The Lincoln descendants moved to New Jersey, then Pennsylvania, and finally in 1768 John Lincoln (Abraham’s great grandfather) and his family of ten settled in Virginia. In 1782 John’s son Abraham, his wife Bersheba, and their five children headed for Kentucky. It is believed that their family friend, Daniel Boone, who had pioneered the first trail into this region only seven years earlier, encouraged the Lincolns to settle the area. In 1786, as Abraham and his boys were planting the fields, Indians attacked and Abraham was killed. [Abraham’s grave bears the name “Abraham Linkhorn”; there is debate over whether the spelling is a mistake, or if the Lincolns did indeed begin as Linkhorns, changing their name along the way.] The Lincolns then moved to present day Washington County and then Hardin County in 1803, where son Thomas (our future president’s father) married Nancy Hanks in 1806, and in 1807 they had their first child, Sarah. Nancy Hanks was born in Virginia; after her father James’ death, Nancy’s mother, Lucy Shipley Hanks, moved them to Kentucky to live with her sister and brother-in-law Rachel and Richard Berry. Lucy later remarried, leaving Nancy with the Berrys until her wedding with Thomas.
In 1808, Thomas, Nancy and Sarah Lincoln moved to 348 acre Sinking Springs Farm on Nolin Creek near Hodgenville, Kentucky, for which they paid $200. It was here on February 12, 1809 that Abraham Lincoln, the seventh generation of his family in America, was born, making him the first president born outside the thirteen original colonies in America. The Lincolns were forced off the farm in 1811 due to a property ownership dispute, when they moved ten miles northeast to Knob Creek Kentucky. Today a memorial stands at Lincoln’s birthplace. President Theodore Roosevelt layed the cornerstone in 1909, and President Taft dedicated it in 1911. Its 56 granite steps represent the 56 years of Abraham Lincoln’s life, and inside is a cabin representative of Lincoln’s (although not his, it was built locally in the 1840s, then disassembled and moved inside the memorial building). The memorial receives about 200,000 visitors a year.

Haslam plans broad-based immigration legislation

18 02 2011

From the times free press

NASHVILLE — Gov. Bill Haslam said Wednesday he is working with Republican legislative leaders to develop a broad-based bill dealing with illegal immigration.

One piece would be an Arizona-style law allowing state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws.

Another would require the written portion of driver’s license exams be given in English unless the person is in the U.S. legally through a work or student visa.

The law would require businesses to use the federal E-Verify program in hiring and make the state ensure illegal immigrants cannot access a number of state services.

Haslam spoke to reporters after an address to state business leaders. He cautioned he doesn’t want Tennessee to set too strident a tone in its approach.

This state has every right to say who can and cannot come into their state legally or illegally. I hope this catches on like wildfire, state by state. Screw the federal government. There is no business of the state, that the States can’t do better than the Federal government. We need to get rid of the feds and take our States back, period. Oh, and bye the bye, Governors have more power than the President of the United States.

I feel sorry for the United States; By Susan Frances Bonner

21 01 2011

I feel sorry that as a nation of such diverse and hardy people we only have two political parties to represent us. It proves we are not strong enough to stand up to what we believe in. That was the first step towards relinquishing our freedom.

I feel sorry that our leaders are dividing us by lines of race, religion, and income. We’re all in this together.

I feel sorry that after the attack on NY, the pentagon, and the bravery of the United States citizens in Pennsylvania; nationalism, sovereign citizen, patriotism, and God are dirty words.

I feel sorry that our sense of security rests in the hands of unqualified equals who by having merely completed a homeland security program are authorized to violate our human rights in the name of national defense.

I feel sorry that in a land so rich with resources, we cannot rely on each other, or ourselves to live day to day.

I feel sorry that we must be blamed for every nation’s mistakes and problems; the price of bringing freedom to the world is indeed high.

I feel sorry that we can’t come to terms, that no matter how much we talk, tolerate and help another nation, they still hate and want to destroy every person in our country.

I feel sorry that the concept of national and personal defense; which was the basis for our constitution and bill of rights, has become the most controversial and questioned issue of these times.

I feel sorry that the liberals of our country cannot tell every one of their real agenda; to merge us into a one world order. I hate to break it to them, but the Vulcans are not going to rescue us.

I feel sorry that our children are being brought up by either the government, TV, or the local drug dealer. And parents are too busy to care.

I feel sorry that the break down of our families is the fault of our women, who never realized how important they were, behind it all, keeping us all together.

And I truly feel sorry that those fateful words of Benjamin Franklin now sound so ominous… “We’ve given you a Republic; let’s see if you can keep it.”

Draft of the Kentucky Resolutions – October 1798

7 01 2011

I will be sending this to the Governor of Arizona to help her in her battle against the federal government.
I know that this is long and tough to read but well worth it. This is the first time that the States had to remind the federal government that they had limited powers over the states. The draft of this resolution was written by Thomas Jefferson for Kentucky against the congress and President John Adams. This is what every state must assert and tell the feds to go scratch! Notice the date people. When was the Constitution ratified? You can use this site to find that out as well.

1. _Resolved_, That the several States composing the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their General Government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a General Government for special purposes, — delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force; that to this compact each State acceded as a State, and is an integral party, its co-States forming, as to itself, the other party: that the government created by this compact was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress.

All things New Year

1 01 2011

Happy New Year everyone, may your days be brighter this year.

http://wilstar.com/holidays/newyear.htm

Auld Lang Syne is sung at the stroke of midnight in almost every English-speaking country in the world to bring in the new year. At least partially written by Robert Burns in the 1700’s, it was first published in 1796 after Burns’ death. Early variations of the song were sung prior to 1700 and inspired Burns to produce the modern rendition. An old Scottish tune, “Auld Lang Syne” literally means “old long ago,” or simply, “the good old days.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?

“Happy New Year!” That greeting will be said and heard for at least the first couple of weeks as a new year gets under way. But the day celebrated as New Year’s Day in modern America was not always January 1.

The celebration of the new year is the oldest of all holidays. It was first observed in ancient Babylon about 4000 years ago. In the years around 2000 BC, the Babylonian New Year began with the first New Moon (actually the first visible cresent) after the Vernal Equinox (first day of spring).

The beginning of spring is a logical time to start a new year. After all, it is the season of rebirth, of planting new crops, and of blossoming. January 1, on the other hand, has no astronomical nor agricultural significance. It is purely arbitrary.

The Babylonian new year celebration lasted for eleven days. Each day had its own particular mode of celebration, but it is safe to say that modern New Year’s Eve festivities pale in comparison. The Romans continued to observe the new year in late March, but their calendar was continually tampered with by various emperors so that the calendar soon became out of synchronization with the sun.

In order to set the calendar right, the Roman senate, in 153 BC, declared January 1 to be the beginning of the new year. But tampering continued until Julius Caesar, in 46 BC, established what has come to be known as the Julian Calendar. It again established January 1 as the new year. But in order to synchronize the calendar with the sun, Caesar had to let the previous year drag on for 445 days.

Although in the first centuries AD the Romans continued celebrating the new year, the early Catholic Church condemned the festivities as paganism. But as Christianity became more widespread, the early church began having its own religious observances concurrently with many of the pagan celebrations, and New Year’s Day was no different. New Years is still observed as the Feast of Christ’s Circumcision by some denominations.

During the Middle Ages, the Church remained opposed to celebrating New Years. January 1 has been celebrated as a holiday by Western nations for only about the past 400 years.

Other traditions of the season include the making of New Year’s resolutions. That tradition also dates back to the early Babylonians. Popular modern resolutions might include the promise to lose weight or quit smoking. The early Babylonian’s most popular resolution was to return borrowed farm equipment.

The Tournament of Roses Parade dates back to 1886. In that year, members of the Valley Hunt Club decorated their carriages with flowers. It celebrated the ripening of the orange crop in California.

Although the Rose Bowl football game was first played as a part of the Tournament of Roses in 1902, it was replaced by Roman chariot races the following year. In 1916, the football game returned as the sports centerpiece of the festival. The tradition of using a baby to signify the new year was begun in Greece around 600 BC. It was their tradition at that time to celebrate their god of wine, Dionysus, by parading a baby in a basket, representing the annual rebirth of that god as the spirit of fertility. Early Egyptians also used a baby as a symbol of rebirth.

Although the early Christians denounced the practice as pagan, the popularity of the baby as a symbol of rebirth forced the Church to reevaluate its position. The Church finally allowed its members to celebrate the new year with a baby, which was to symbolize the birth of the baby Jesus.

The use of an image of a baby with a New Years banner as a symbolic representation of the new year was brought to early America by the Germans. They had used the effigy since the fourteenth century. Traditionally, it was thought that one could affect the luck they would have throughout the coming year by what they did or ate on the first day of the year. For that reason, it has become common for folks to celebrate the first few minutes of a brand new year in the company of family and friends. Parties often last into the middle of the night after the ringing in of a new year. It was once believed that the first visitor on New Year’s Day would bring either good luck or bad luck the rest of the year. It was particularly lucky if that visitor happened to be a tall dark-haired man.

Traditional New Year foods are also thought to bring luck. Many cultures believe that anything in the shape of a ring is good luck, because it symbolizes “coming full circle,” completing a year’s cycle. For that reason, the Dutch believe that eating donuts on New Year’s Day will bring good fortune.

Many parts of the U.S. celebrate the new year by consuming black-eyed peas. These legumes are typically accompanied by either hog jowls or ham. Black-eyed peas and other legumes have been considered good luck in many cultures. The hog, and thus its meat, is considered lucky because it symbolizes prosperity. Cabbage is another “good luck” vegetable that is consumed on New Year’s Day by many. Cabbage leaves are also considered a sign of prosperity, being representative of paper currency. In some regions, rice is a lucky food that is eaten on New Year’s Day.

Gay Man Being Deported Because Marriage Not Recognized

30 10 2010

Cry me a River. First, we have to many “immigrants”, legal and illegal coming to this country. Here’s an idea: fix your own country, and stay there. We have enough problems in this country that we are dealing with.
From myfoxny.com:

Henry Velandia and Josh Vandiver married in Montville, Connecticut on August 29, 2010. Henry Velandia is in deportation proceedings because the Defense of Marriage Act prevents Josh Vandiver from sponsoring him for residency.

How much money are these proceedings costing tax payers?

Mexican gov’t is helping Illegal aliens get US financial assistance! Say what???

27 10 2010

Article link: http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978633246#cid-1688849886703218

This is a pandemic. The illegals are getting access to OUR money with the help of the MEXICAN Gov’t. If we do not take action, and fast, Illegals will overrun our country and take over. Read to understand. You don’t want to miss this information. This is a NATIONAL security issue. Why is our Gov’t allowing this to happen???!!!! They are breaking our laws and on purpose! How dare they! How dare the Mexican gov’t. These people need to be punished in a big way!

The Santa Ana , CA , Mexican Consulate setup a mobile Mexican Matricula Consular ID center on UNITED STATES PUBLIC SCHOOL PROPERTY- Capistrano School District at the Adult English Language Development Center located at 31351 Camino Real, San Juan Capistrano , CA . The Mexican Matricula Consular ID card is an ID card issued to Mexican foreign nationals in the United States. The matricula consular is useful in the United States only for illegal aliens, because legal immigrants by definition have legal U.S. government-issued documents.

The fee is $27 per Matricula Consular application.

When the Minutemen arrived at the Capistrano School District Adult School there was a hub of activity. A mobile Mexican Consulate center was in full swing.

Matricula means: of a like group and consular means: from a consulate.

After 9/11, the Mexican Government realized that they could not gain another U.S. amnesty for illegal aliens. Instead, they launched a lobbying campaign to gain acceptance of the ID at state and local levels and from U.S. banks.

U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo said, “The only people who benefit from having such an ID are those who have come illegally and have broken our laws.” This ID card is essentially a back door attempt at a stealth amnesty and a direct challenge to the jurisdiction of Congress over U.S. immigration policy. Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez, director of the Mexican card program was quoted as saying “It’s necessary to push the need for an amnesty at all levels.”

The Matricula card is not a secure document (the Matricula Cards on this page are of American citizens). Mexico does not authenticate documents used to obtain the ID against computerized data files in Mexico. No major bank in Mexico accepts the card to open an account and the cards are recognized as IDs in only 10 of Mexico’s 32 states and districts.

Legal resident Mexicans have U.S. issued green cards, for identification.

Mexican Nationals in the U.S. ILLEGALLY do NOT have a green card and therefore want a Mexican Matricula Consular Identification Card Box of matricula consular application forms on US public school property

After the Minutemen had been onsite for about an hour and a half, the mobile center was shut down – above photo. Once Minutemen began to observe and report, documenting and photographing. The Mexican Nationals no longer ventured forth to the center and many, who had been in attendance, left the mobile center. MEXICAN DIPLOMAT TELLS MINUTEMEN – LEAVE! The Mexican diplomat, above, approached the Minutemen as the Minutemen were peacefully strolling about- on United States public school property – observing and taking photos of the event. The Mexican diplomat, above, would not give us her business card nor her name Minutewoman – peacefully assembling on public school property

Minutemen assembled on U.S. school property

The Mexican diplomat repeatedly said, “This a private event for Mexicans only…You cannot be here…I am telling you nicely as I do not want to call the police. Please leave.”

Minuteman Project National Rally Spokesman Raymond Herrera said to the Mexican diplomat, “No, we will not leave. We are guaranteed freedom of assembly under

Mexican diplomat south side of the mobile center The Mexican diplomat was particularly vexed by our photographing of the event. ” DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS,” she commanded repeatedly. Minutemen stated that in the USA , we have the right to photograph in public. “No, you cannot take photos,” she insisted. Herrera and the diplomat then entered into a lengthy discussion in Spanish. GANG MEMBER with application in hand

The man, above photo, displayed gang hand signals and yelled out “THIS IS OUR TERRITORY!” The Mexican diplomat witnessed and seemingly approved of the gang member at the “Mexican Only” event. He appeared to be filling out an application – in his left hand above. Many have informally been told that in the Hispanic community only gang members wear black shoes. Note in the photo above, the only man in black shoes is the self-professed gang member. DIPLOMAT ASSAULTS! The Minutewoman, above, had been quietly photographing… Photo by Deb – Mexican Diplomat has a matricula consular card in her hand, Suddenly the door above opened, and the Mexican diplomat, came out yelling. To our utter amazement, the diplomat started to strike out at the Minutewoman! We were in a state of shock. As she yelled, she struck across the Minutewoman’s lower right jaw and lip, several times. The Minutewoman above, in her left hand, used her sign as a shield, while pulling her camera back from the assaulting Mexican diplomat Ten minutes after the assault the Minutewoman still had a “stinging” sensation on her lip and jaw area. POLICE ARRIVE Police arrived after the assault.

The police said they had been called by the consulate as they had reported that the Minutemen were inside the building yelling and pushing about. We never entered the building and had been quietly moving outside, on school property. Herrera spoke with officers then requested they interview the diplomat. Per the officer’s request, the diplomat came forward. “They must leave,” she said to the officer. But the officer replied, “No, this is a public school and they can be here.” The diplomat then said that we must stop photographing them. “Ma’am,” the officer informed her, “You are in a public area and they can photograph.” The officer then asked her, “Do you have the paperwork to use this facility.” “Yes,” she replied. “I would like to see it,” the officer said, “I don’t have the paperwork with me,” she said back to him. “I would like to see your identification, ” the officer said.

OFFICER ON THE PHONE After the officer spoke with the diplomat, he returned to his vehicle and spoke on his cell phone for about 15 to 20 minutes. After he hung up, he met with us. He said the consulate did not have paperwork but that he had spoken to the individual who had granted the use of the school. He said that we could continue to assemble on the school property. He appeared sympathetic about the Minutewoman assault, but said the

“No, you can’t,” she said to the officer. The officer at this point followed her inside of the building. “I have no identification with me, I did not drive,” she finally said as the officer pursued the issue. At this point, the door shut and the officer remained inside of the building. Mexican Consulate staff had diplomatic immunity. CONSULAR VEHICLE Please forward! Americans must know what is happening behind our backs, in our own country!! What is a Matricula Consular card? http://www.theamericanresistance.com/issues/matricula_id_card.html

Currently, more than 350 financial institutions accept Matricula Consular cards as proof of identification thereby allowing thousands of illegal immigrants to have access to mainstream U.S. financial services.

A Plan To Take Back The Republic

25 10 2010

We then purge the Federal courts of those who have served in bad behavior and replace them with people who understand the role of the courts is to look at the original intent of thee legislators who created the law and apply it to the person or situation in front of them, not re-interpret the law. Now we get rid of all the unconstitutional laws and bureaucracy that were created and phase out all government entitlement programs. anything we want to keep we have to amend the Constitution to to keep them.

Use the National Guard to secure our borders and build the dang fence with gun turrets, unmanned drones, and seismic sensors. the Airforce would have bases here in the USA to protect us.

Now we have our liberty back without a bloody revolution. Sending people to Washington will only slow the train wreck down, they will not and cannot dismantle the federal government from within, but the states have the power.

11 Tucson teachers sue Arizona over new ‘anti-Hispanic’ schools law

19 10 2010

I am sooo glad that our country is starting to wake up and “smell, the minority tyranny”. I do not want my tax payer dollars to go to any “ETHNIC” studies. Teach the kids the basics so we can again have “achievers” and not “socially correct” morons. Keep up the good fight people. God is on our side. Oh, no, I said the “G” word.

From CNN U.S.;

Eleven Tucson, Arizona, educators sued the state board of education and superintendent this week for what the teachers consider an “anti-Hispanic” ban looming on Mexican-American studies.

The suit comes in a state already roiled by a controversial immigration law that is being challenged in court.

On Tuesday, state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne defended the new law, which will go into effect December 31. The law authorizes the superintendent to stop any ethnic studies classes that “promote the overthrow of the United States government … promote resentment toward a race or class of people … (or) advocate ethnic solidarity instead of treatment of pupils as individuals.”

Horne said he would seek the first-ever ban in Tucson for its “raza studies” program, now called Mexican-American studies. Raza means “the race” in Spanish.

If anyone wants to take these dumbass courses on their own, fine, but our children should not be forced, as prisoners of the public school system to do so. Parents please protest, it’s up to you.

Immigration cases being tossed by the hundreds

18 10 2010

isn’t this just lovely…

From the houston chronicle:

In the month after Homeland Security officials started a review of Houston’s immigration court docket, immigration judges dismissed more than 200 cases, an increase of more than 700 percent from the prior month, new data shows.

The number of dismissals in Houston courts reached 217 in August — up from just 27 in July, according to data from the Executive Office for Immigration Review, which administers the nation’s immigration court system.

In September, judges dismissed 174 pending cases — the vast majority involving immigrants who already were out on bond and had cases pending on Houston’s crowded downtown court docket, where hearings are now being scheduled into 2012.

Roughly 45 percent of the 350 cases decided in that court in September resulted in dismissals, the records show.

The EOIR data offer the first glimpse into Homeland Security’s largely secretive review of pending cases on the local immigration court docket.

In early August, federal attorneys in Houston started filing unsolicited motions to dismiss cases involving suspected illegal immigrants who have lived in the country for years without committing serious crimes.

News of the dismissals, first reported in the Houston Chronicle in late August, caused a national controversy amid allegations that the Obama administration was implementing a kind of “backdoor amnesty” — a charge officials strongly denied.

In recent weeks, some immigration attorneys reported the dismissals have slowed somewhat, while others reported they now have to ask ICE trial attorneys to exercise prosecutorial discretion in order to have their cases dismissed. Others, however, said they are still being approached by government attorneys seeking to file joint motions for case dismissal.

Well, we have to keep them in the country until we can get them amnesty right? The administration refuses to stop people coming into our country illegally and refuses to enforce the laws and deport them.

Mexican assassins headed to Arizona

16 10 2010

This will get your attention!

From The Washington Times:

Drug smuggling gangs in Mexico have sent well-armed assassins, or “sicarios,” into Arizona to locate and kill bandits who are ambushing and stealing loads of cocaine, marijuana and heroin headed to buyers in the United States, the Department of Homeland Security has warned Arizona law enforcement authorities.

In a memo sent in May and widely circulated since, the department said: “We just received information from a proven credible confidential source who reported that a meeting was held in Puerto Penasco in which every smuggling organization who utilizes the Vekol Valley was told to attend. This included rival groups within the Guzman cartel.”

…The Vekol Valley is a widely-traveled drug smuggling corridor running across Interstate 8 between the Arizona towns of Casa Grande and Gila Bend, continuing north towards Phoenix. It gives drug smugglers the option of shipping their goods to California or to major cities both north and east.

The Homeland Security memo said a group of “15, very well equipped and armed sicarios complete with bullet proof vests” had been sent into the valley. It said the assassins would be disguised as “groups of ‘simulated backpackers’ carrying empty boxes covered with burlap into the Vekol Valley to draw out the bandits.” Once identified, the memo said, “the sicarios will take out the bandits.”

This is the same area where the Federal Government powered SIGNS warning U.S. Citizens It is dangerous to travel in this area in response to Arizona’s request for 3000 National Guard troops. Do you still think the border is ‘secure”?

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, whose county lies at the center of major drug and alien smuggling routes to Phoenix and cities east and west, told The Washington Times earlier this month that Mexican drug cartels have posted scouts on the high points in the mountains and in the hills and “they literally control movement.

“They have radios, they have optics, they have night-vision goggles as good as anything law enforcement has,” he said. “This is going on here in Arizona. This is 70 to 80 miles from the border — 30 miles from the fifth-largest city in the United States.”

Our general government has grown way outside it’s intended Constitutional limits and yet it refuses to do it’s Con stitutional duty to protect the States from invasion! It is time to throw all these bums out and take back the States with true Constitutional conservatives and then re-assert the states Constitutional Sovereignty. This will allow us to get our Republic back from the federal government.

Immigrants file frivolous lawsuit against local immigration law!

15 10 2010

Cross posted from Psycobabble:

This is beyond despicable. Their lawyer is saying they have done nothing wrong. Dude they are here ILLEGALLY! That makes them CRIMINALS! So stop saying that there not. 1- they all got caught because they committed a crime, 2-Just being illegal makes it a crime. What is wrong with these people! This lawsuit is not going to get that far. These people have no rights in this country, they are not CITIZENS. They all need to be deported. I don’t care if it does tear up the families, they should have thought about that! This is their consequence! Why the hell would you try to put it on us????!!!!! Morons!

Here is the article:

Three immigrants in Georgia are suing to challenge a government program that allows local authorities to enforce federal immigration law, and they are seeking to have the case declared a class action to represent many other immigrants.

Experts say the lawsuit, filed last week in federal court in Atlanta, could be the first to directly challenge the legitimacy of the 287(g) program, which has been used to identify more than 180,000 illegal immigrants for deportation nationwide since 2006.

“I have heard of nobody filing a lawsuit on this, and I would have heard about it,” said Charles Kuck, a prominent Atlanta immigration lawyer and past president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

The lawsuit names U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement director John Morton, Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren, an investigator for the Georgia Department of Public Safety and other officials as defendants.

A Department of Public Safety spokesman and a spokeswoman for Warren’s office said Thursday their agencies hadn’t seen the lawsuit and couldn’t comment. An ICE spokesman said the agency doesn’t comment on pending litigation.

The lawsuit seeks to define the class as “all Hispanic persons who have been or will be restrained and interrogated within the State of Georgia” by local authorities enforcing federal immigration law under an agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

As of late September, the 287(g) program had been used to identify 14,692 illegal immigrants in Georgia for deportation in the four years since Cobb became the first county in the state to launch the program, according to ICE. Three additional counties plus the state Department of Public Safety have since signed agreements.

The lawsuit alleges ICE has failed to train, supervise and otherwise oversee sheriff’s deputies in Cobb County, where the three plaintiffs live. It also claims ICE has improperly delegated its power to local authorities.

“This is a bad thing, and it tears apart families,” said attorney Erik Meder, who filed the lawsuit. “While these people are certainly in the country illegally, they aren’t criminals and don’t deserve to be locked up and separated from their families.”

Immigration officials have broad discretionary power and should not be issuing a notice to appear which initiates deportation proceedings for illegal immigrants who are arrested and discovered to be in the country illegally after initially having been stopped for relatively minor offenses, the lawsuit says.

The program is part of the 1996 Immigration and Nationality Act, but wasn’t used much until 2006. It is intended to train state and local officers in immigration law enforcement and enables them to identify and detain illegal immigrants, who can then be turned over to ICE.

It has become a rallying point for immigrant rights activists all over the country who say it encourages racial profiling and discourages Latinos from reporting crimes for fear of being deported.

The inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security, which includes ICE, reported in March that the 287(g) program was poorly supervised and provided insufficient training to officers. The inspector general made recommendations for overhauling the program.

It was the second critical report for the program. The Government Accountability Office had criticized it in July 2009.

Meder said the program is unconstitutional because it “impermissibly delegates federal power to local authorities with insufficient oversight.”

Kuck doesn’t support the 287(g) program but said he believes Congress specifically authorized ICE to delegate enforcement authority to local entities.

“Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s unconstitutional,” he said. “I don’t think there’s any harm in challenging it, but I don’t expect the suit to go anywhere. And I certainly don’t think it will be given class-action status.”

Brittney Nystrom of the National Immigration Forum, a Washington-based immigrant advocacy organization, said she hasn’t heard of any other lawsuit that directly attacks 287(g) on its merits.

“Most of the advocacy around this program is that local authorities aren’t using the authority they’re given correctly, that there’s racial profiling, for example,” she said.

The three named plaintiffs in the lawsuit “each represent a different kind of abuse” of the program, Meder said.

One, a Mexican citizen who came to the U.S. legally in 2004 but overstayed her authorization, was arrested after a car crash for not having a driver’s license and is being deported.

The second, an illegal immigrant arrested on a shoplifting charge that she is fighting, is in deportation proceedings. But the lawsuit argues she should be able to stay until her criminal case is decided.

The third is an El Salvadoran immigrant who has legal authorization to work in the U.S. but was arrested in July on felony forgery charges. Authorities say he used a false immigration document to renew his driver’s license, a charge he denies.

Notice how there is nothing but blame. Local states have EVERY right to enforce laws. That is their job! These 3 immigrants are all illegal. 2 came here legally on work visa’s, 1 let her’s get delinquent, and the other forged documents because he too overstayed his visa. These are not law abiding citizens! They were not racially profiled. They got caught because they were INVOLVED in a crime! There is no abuse here. This lawsuit is frivolous and will be seen as such. What this local state is doing, is NOT unconstitutional, by any means. These people need to give it a rest. WE THE PEOPLE have spoken, now SHUT UP and LISTEN!

Undocumented Immigrants/Real Crimes 10/14

15 10 2010

Cross posted from Virtuous Republic:

Another crime perpetrated against an American citizen, this time in the Greater Cincinnati area, by an illegal immigrant. This one, like the others that I have presented to you, is the fault of every individual in the U.S. who opposes a secured southern border.

The courtroom of Judge Keith Spaeth was steeped in sorrow and bewilderment Friday as Alexis Ramirez, now 15, was sentenced for the rape, robbery, beating and kidnapping of 64-year-old Phyllis Mays in her Liberty Township home Jan. 11.The boy threatened Mays with the gun, hit her with it and sexually assaulted her. Then he ordered Mays to drive him to a money machine. On the way, he jumped out of Mays’ car and ran away with her purse.Assistant Prosecutor Brad Burress pointed out that, shortly after the teen’s arrest, Detective Jason Rosser said the teen told him: “Well, I guess I have to pay the price for having a little fun.”The teen also reportedly said: “How much time will I have to do? A year or so?”Feltner said the incident’s effects continue. “It sent a shoock wave — like you drop a rock in the pond, you see the ripples, and it’s still rippling I’m just begging the court to keep him locked up for as long as possible.”David Brewer argued a shorter sentence would cost taxpayers less. His client is an an illegal immigrant who will be deported to his home country, Mexico, after completing his prison term, unless laws change by then. Read more….

An old lady’s life was ruined because as a nation, we simply have lost our way. Nothing is important, nothing is sacred, nothing is holy, nothing is special and thus, nothing is done to protect our nation, because it isn’t worth protecting.
